HAMPTON Park Harcourts director Dee Watson has one message for her customers – “we are not a drive through service, but we are still open for business”.
Ms Watson said this in good spirit after a car crashed through her real estate business last Wednesday about 4.40pm.
A women, driving an unfamiliar car, ended up inside the business in the Hampton Park shopping square, destroying about four work stations including computers and cabinets.
Ms Watson said while it was an unfortunate event, they all felt very lucky.
“Nobody was hurt,” she said. “We can all just look at it now and laugh our faces off.
“But if it had been just five minutes earlier, it could have been a different story. I wouldn’t have full desk, but all the agents had just gone out to do their open for inspections.
“We consider ourselves really blessed. We can only laugh about it now.”
Ms Watson said she watched it all happen. She said the car went up the curb, through the window then into the office.
Ms Watson said the driver was insured and the assessors would be out soon to look at the damage so the office could get back to normal soon.
She said she wanted to let the customers know the business was still open for business.
