DIY helps unborn babies

CRANBOURNE Bunnings has teamed up with Southern Health and Dulux this Easter, for a fundraiser to help unborn babies.
Residents can contribute to the fundraiser by purchasing a four-litre Dulux Wash and Wear or Dulux 1 step, with $5 from every sale going to vital equipment for unborn babies.
All money raised will go to the purchase of a new cardiotocograph (CTG) monitor for Monash Medical Centre Clayton’s Pregnancy Assessment Unit.
Organisers of the fundraiser say the CTG monitor can save the life of an unborn baby so its value goes beyond peace of mind and reassurance for pregnant women and their families.
The monitor is the most accurate way of detecting problems during pregnancy and can help determine the urgency of any health issues.
Southern Health said another CTG monitor was needed for mothers in the baby booming south eastern suburbs.
