Teams move up

TWO of Hampton Park’s Tuesday bowls pennant sides have won promotion to higher divisions after performing extremely well in the 2010-11 season.
Division 2 played the last game of the season against Edithvale for a 10-shot win.
The side finished eight points clear at the top of the ladder to get promoted to division 1.
Andrew, Ann, Christine and Heather won 25-18. Geoff, Ray, Rob and Helen won 25-14 while Dot, Jim, Ellen and Denise lost 21-29.
In the first round of the division finals, the Parkers were put out of the race when Sunshine won all rinks by a total of 18 shots.
Andrew, Ann, Christine and Heather lost 21-34. Dot, Jim, Ellen and Denise lost 21-22. Geoff, Ray, Rob and Helen lost 23-27.
Division 4 played its last game of the season against Mulgrave CC, winning by 24 shots. The side finished top of the ladder and will be playing division 3 next season.
Keith, Geri, Gwen and Grace won 30-21. Rhonda, June, Allan and Bob won 26-22. Alan, Brian, Gail and Marion won 28-17.
The side played Werribee in the first round of the finals and were knocked over by 11 shots.
Rhonda, Mary, June and Bob lost 18-39. Keith, Geri, Gwen and Grace won 31-14. Alan, Brian, Gail and Marion lost 22-29.
Electric Light (Southern Districts)
After a slow start, the last game of the season was going to decide whether the side made it to the finals. The winner between of the clash against East Malvern RSL would be in. Hampton Park finished the night 35 shots up.
Russell, Lance, Andrew and Denise won 30-21. Geoff, Keith, Sean and Neville won 19-15. Ray, Christine, Ray and Geoff won 30-8.
The club met Hampton RSL in the first knockout final and won by 27 shots to move into the next knockout round.
Ray, Christine, Ray and Geoff lost 15-19. Geoff, Lance, Sean and Neville won 36-6. Bob, Andrew, Graham and Denise won 19-17.
South Oakleigh took the game right up to the side, only falling away towards the end and losing by 15 shots.
Bob, Graham, Andrew and Denise won 21-10. Ray, Christine, Ray and Geoff lost 15-17. Geoff, Lance, Sean and Neville won 21-15.
The final will be played between Elsternwick Park and Hampton Park this week at Murrumbeena Park.
