Car catches fire

Two people were assessed by paramedics after a car fire in Cranbourne North on Tuesday 5 November.

Emergency services were called to the fire at the Bunnings Warehouse carpark on Thompsons Road about 2.20pm.

A man and woman who tried to put the fire out were assessed by paramedics but neither were taken to hospital.

Two fire appliances from Cranbourne fire brigade and a truck from Narre Warren fire brigade were on scene.

The fire was brought under control in just less than 10 minutes. A CFA spokesman said it was not known how the fire started but it’s believed three cars were involved.

Timber pallets also caught fire, the spokesman said.
