Families with young children in Clyde North will soon have increased access to kinder spaces, with works currently underway to build a new family and community centre.
The $6.67 million dollar new centre has been titled Kilora Family and Community Centre in the interim, awaiting its set completion date of November this year.
The project includes three kindergarten playrooms that will offer council-run 4 year old kindergarten, as well as two consulting suites allowing delivery of the City of Casey maternal and child health service. The project will also house an additional consultation room and a large multi-purpose community room available for hire.
The Andrews Labor Government provided City of Casey Council $1, 600, 000 towards the new centre through a Children’s Facilities Capital Program grant.
Member for Bass, Jordan Crugnale MP recently toured the construction site alongside City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon.
“This will give local families a first-rate early childhood facility and ensure their kids get the most out of kinder,” said Ms Crugnale.
“Making Victoria the Education State starts with the early years – that’s why we’re delivering unprecedented investments in early childhood services.
