Carpark a winner

By Nicole Williams
ARNOLD March couldn’t be happier with the car parking available at Cranbourne Railway Station.
The Cranbourne resident wrote a letter to the News in June 2006 calling for more car parking so commuters didn’t have to drive to work.
“At this station after 7.30 there are no more parking areas and so the would-be passengers have to drive, many into the city,” Mr March said in his letter.
Much to his delight, a new car park opened with 400 extra spaces in 2009.
“It’s been fabulous for Cranbourne,” Mr March said.
“We’ve now got the best station in Victoria for car parking.”
Mr March catches a train to the city three or four times a week and said the car park had more cars in it every week.
