Stolen car fired up

POLICE believe a man deliberately drove a stolen car into a tree in Narre Warren East before setting it on fire last week.
They say the blue Toyota Corolla hatch they believe was stolen was deliberately driven into a tree on Boundary Road about 6.10pm on 17 February.
The car was set on fire and police found a bottle of turpentine nearby.
They believe a maroon VS or VR Holden station wagon with green number plates was travelling alongside the Toyota and that the man driving the Toyota got into the Holden after the incident and took off.
Both cars were travelling at high speeds, police said.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
