Don’t spare the hair

MOST people who take part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave only shave the hair on their head.
But if Cranbourne’s Stewart Barkway raises enough money, he might shave some hair elsewhere.
“Depending on how much I raise will depend on what comes off,” Mr Barkway said.
Because his hair is short, his friends have been encouraging him to shave his legs or back for the cause but he will decide how much money is enough on the big day.
Mr Barkway has been participating in the fundraising event for a number of years and is spurred on by the memory of a friend’s child who lost her battle with leukaemia.
“It’s in honour of all of them, it’s not just her,” Mr Barkway said.
“You see what these people go through and at such a young age no kid should have to suffer.”
If you would like to sponsor Mr Barkway visit www.leukaemiafoundation.org.au and search his name.
