New kids, new boss

THE Year 7 students weren’t the only new kids on the block at Cranbourne Secondary College last week.
The school also welcomed its new principal Ken Robinson, who has joined the school after serving as assistant principal at Narre Warren South P-12 for eight years.
Mr Robinson joined the Year 7 students for a barbecue last Thursday to welcome them to the school and toast the school year.
Mr Robinson said he was excited about his future at Cranbourne Secondary College, and said his aim was to get the best from and for the students.
“I’m excited about the school. I think it’s got a great future and I still believe the school will be the school of choice for kids that live in Cranbourne,” he said.
“I’ve found the staff highly professional and very supportive of each other and keen to work towards the improvement of teaching and learning.”
There are about 1450 students enrolled at the school, with about 188 Year 7 students starting this year. Significant works were undertaken at the school last year, including $8 million spent on stage two developments.
