A 41-year-old man was treated for a suspected snakebite in Cannons Creek last week.
The man kicked at something long and thin in the grass when he went out to the letterbox on 1 February, and at the time didn’t believe it was a snake.
Paramedic Amanda Green said the man started to feel unwell shortly after and assumed it was because of the hot weather.
“He went inside, took off his shoes and socks, and that’s when he noticed two puncture marks on his left big toe,” Ms Green said.
