Police have arrested a man in Cranbourne after locating weapons and substances believed to be drugs during a routine intercept on Friday 9 August.
It is understood the 44-year-old Heidelberg Heights man was driving his silver Ford ute about 3am in Monahans Road when police intercepted him.
Public Order Response officers observed the man attempting to conceal what is believed to be a glass smoking implement when exiting his vehicle.
A search was conducted and police located substances believed to be methyl amphetamine and cocaine, as well as two firearms and ammunition in his vehicle.
They also located a number of power tools believed to be stolen.
The man is currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.
