Cranbourne Auto Electrical and Mechanical has been crowned Best Auto Electrical in the 2019 VACC Industry Awards.
On Saturday June 22 at a glittering ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, owners Robert and Michelle Friend were stunned to hear their business called out as winner of the award.
“It’s fantastic, it acknowledges not only us as owners but also our team of staff and also our customers that support us,” Mrs Friend said.
The VACC Industry Awards are recognised as the highest honour a Victorian automotive business can achieve.
Eight expert judges evaluated entries based on business management, workplace practices, customer service and marketing and communication.
The pair self-nominated in the awards and said they believe their win stemmed from a number of good business practices that they have implemented.
“It comes from everything, from customer feedback to the policies and procedures we have here, making sure we’re up to standards, our Facebook and Google presence, and the fact that we’re a community business and support the local community.
“We support the local retirement villages, offering discounts and pick up and drop services to them. We try to be community-minded and we also strongly support Starlight Foundation and Heartkids, an organisation that supports families of kids born with heart difficulties, to bring awareness into the community,” she said.
Mrs Friend acknowledged a number of their fellow Cranbourne automotive businesses which also received recognition through the awards.
“Cranbourne Body Works was also a finalist and Alpheys Garage too.
“It’s an opportunity to let people know that Cranbourne businesses in the auto industry are achieving and shining in their field. We’re proud to be a business in Cranbourne and proud of our business and clients,” she added.
