A Cranbourne man is smiling this week after scoring a share of $1.3 million in last weekend’s TattsLotto division one prize draw.
He was part of a 40-person syndicate, nicknamed ‘GOLD59’. In addition to winning division one drawn on Saturday 1 June, the group syndicate also won division three 30 times, division four 150 times, division five 49 times and division six 168 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $1,326,316.92.
Spring Hill News at Springhill Shopping Centre in Cranbourne was one of 10 outlets to sell a share in the group’s syndicate.
“It’s fantastic; to know that we sold one and made someone richer than they were,” an excited owner of Spring Hill News said.
He said the man was a regular, attending the outlet once a fortnight.
“This is the second time for me. I’ve been only at this shop for seven months and we had one, the super draw on the 29th of December,” he added.
