THE Casey Comets Soccer Club will receive a $500,000 facelift if the Labor Party is re-elected.
Cranbourne MP Jude Perera announced the soccer pitch and pavilion at the club would be upgraded to improve facilities for users.
“I congratulate the outstanding work that club president Charlie Branca and the members from the executive committee who put this request to me full of energy and enthusiasm,” Mr Perera said.
“I am proud to be working with the club arm in arm in delivering great outcomes.
“Local sporting clubs are the heart and soul of our communities,” Mr Perera said.
The cash is to be provided under the Facilities for the Future program enables sporting clubs to gain grants to redevelop clubrooms and facilities and support the construction of large-scale multipurpose facilities.
