Casey Crime Investigation Unit is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in Cranbourne on Sunday 24 February.
Police allege a young victim was riding his bike along Baringa Park Drive about 2.40pm when a newer model purple coloured Ford utility bearing P plates pulled up.The driver stopped the vehicle and got out, approaching the victim and demanding money and a phone before pushing him off his bike, police say.
The bandit is described in their early twenties and of Islander appearance.
Police hope to identity the offender and appealing for any witnesses to the incident.
