Twice upon a time

BUDDING young stars at Kilberry Valley Primary School took to the stage for their school production.
The whole school pitched in and took part in Twice Upon a Time, which was held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham over four nights last month.
The song and dance production was written by staff and students, and explored the story of an evil queen who cursed a village before a knight and elf came to the rescue.
Performing arts teacher Peter Jenkins said the students were excited to take part.
“A lot of the kids have never really done anything official with their acting before, so they jump on a real stage in front of a real audience and did an amazing job,” Mr Jenkins said.
A “taskforce” of parents worked tirelessly on costumes for the production.
“It was fantastic,” Mr Jenkins said.
