Job hunt leads to million-dollar TattsLotto discovery

A Clyde grandmother is the happiest woman on earth after discovering the life changing news she won a division one prize of more than $1.7 million in a $30 million TattsLotto Megadraw.

The ecstatic woman held one of the 17 division one winning entries which was drawn Saturday 29 December last year. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1,764,705.89.

Confirming her unexpected win with a TattsLotto official on 2 January, the woman broke down with tears of joy.

“You’ve made me the happiest woman on earth,” she cried.

“You’ve got no idea how excited I am, I don’t believe this is real!

“I’m so beside myself, I’ve had so much bad luck in the past, I still can’t believe it.”

The Melbourne resident shared how an ordinary online job hunt led to the million-dollar discovery.

“I was actually just looking at jobs online and I thought I’d better check this TattsLotto ticket that I got last Saturday so I went onto the Lott website,” she explained.

“I punched my numbers in and I thought there’s no way this could be real.

“I’m totally blown away!

“I thought maybe I would get the lowest prize or something like that, but I would have never thought I’d win division one.

“This is just incredible.”

As the life changing news sunk in, she realised 2019 would be a year like no other and her working days were officially over.

“I was really stressing out because I was supposed to go back to work next week and now I don’t have to ever go back to work again!” she exclaimed.

“I’ll pay off my house, pay some bills and help my kids out.

“And I’m going to travel.

“This has made my year, it really has.”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Stud Park Lotto, Stud Park Shopping Centre in Rowville.

Stud Park Lotto owner Kun Lao said the team was ecstatic to have sold another division one winning entry.

“We consider our outlet a very lucky shop because we have not only sold two Tattslotto division one winning entries but we also sold a winning Powerball entry worth $16.7 million in 2016,” she said.

“We’re so excited that we’ve sold another big winning entry, we’ve been waiting for this day.

“We wish our division one winner all the very best.”
