A child, believed to be from the Casey region, has died after falling from a boat into the water at Lake Eildon, in the tourist town of Bonnie Doon on Sunday 9 December.
Police say the boy, 5, was pulled from the water about 1pm, however attempts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful.
The exact cause into the incident remains ongoing.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
