CRANBOURNE Good Guys store launched a new initiative in store this week, which aims to fight obesity in Australia.
Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia campaign, called Join the Movement, targets people who believe in good food for better nutrition and better health.
It encourages them to join Jamie Oliver in his quest to improve the cooking skills of all Australians by implementing Ministry of Food centres across the country.
With the support of the Australian public, Jamie Oliver and his Ministry of Food, will urge the Federal Government to see that the Ministry of Food is a vital and practical way to help solve a major health crisis and investment is pivotal.
Supporters can sign up to the movement by simply visiting The Good Guys.
Each store has a Join the Movement booth in which supporters can join Jamie Oliver in his fight against obesity by completing a postcard with their details and posting it in the box provided.
The Good Guys Cranbourne proprietor Frank Butera is a strong supporter of the Ministry of Food campaign.
“By simply signing up and sending a postcard of support to the Government, the Cranbourne community can get behind a movement which tackles the issue of obesity head on,” he said.
Once 100,000 people have filled out the postcards, the cards will be delivered to the Federal Government in order to push for ongoing funding.
