Looking for a way to turn back the age clock?
Chairs have now swapped mats for a more gentle experience of yoga at Tooradin Community Yoga.
“This class is a modified form of gentle yoga, using mindful movement with the breath,” yoga instructor Lian Genoni says.
“We realised that it was difficult or uncomfortable for some people to be getting up and down from the floor, and so decided to introduce a new class to our weekly timetable.”
Lian said options were given for all body types allowing those with injury, illness or mobility issues to participate.
“Perfect for the more senior members of community or even those who may otherwise feel overwhelmed in a general movement/exercise class setting,” she said.
“Come down and experience this and the many other benefits of yoga in a supportive, casual, friendly environment.”
Residents are invited to join a chair yoga class that is held each Friday at Tooradin Public Hall from 11:30am – 12:15pm. Cost is $10 a session.
First class free to see if it right for you.
