Thousands turned out for one of the busiest race meetings staged under lights at Cranbourne Turf Club on Saturday 17 November.
Renowned as the biggest nights on the racing calendar, the City of Casey’s popular Tricodes featured 24 races including thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing – the only one of its kind anywhere in Australia.
The night was full to the brim with entertainment including live entertainment free rides and activities for the kids.
Racegoers also had the chance to up close with jockeys and trainers while enjoying all of the racing action right from the mounting yard to the winning post at their leisure.
Cranbourne Turf Club chief executive Neil Bainbridge said the club was delighted to “showcase what’s great about racing” with the three codes.
“It was great to see so many people, lot of families enjoying a great night’s entertainment,” he said.
Now in its 18th year, the event was significant, Mr Bainbridge explained – “not only for the racing industry but for the wider Casey community, the support was terrific.”
“The three codes – they’re very significant not just for racing, they’re very significant for a lot of people because the amount of people they employ, and the economic impact they generate into Casey.”
