Wet, but drying up threats

TOORADIN Primary School students are keeping a watchful eye on local water ways.
Students from the environmentally conscious school visited the Sybella Avenue wetlands in Kooweerup recently to investigate the pathway of stormwater from houses and streets to the bay.
The students discovered locals had been doing a good job of picking up dog droppings and fences kept cattle from drinking in the wetland.
The threats to the quality of water came about when dirt and slit from nearby constructions washed into the wetlands when drains were left uncovered.
