$5K to road safety programs

Receiving the cheque during a presentation at Casey Safety Village was Liam Field of Bayside Christian College, Neve Savage of Boneo Primary School, Kade Morgan of Dromana Secondary College, Jemaya Bressan of Moorooduc Primary School, and Molly Wallace of Peninsula Grammar, Siesiea Savage of Padua College.

Pupils from six Mornington Peninsula schools have come together to receive a cheque for $5,360 from local marathon cyclists which was presented at Casey Safety Village in Cranbourne.

The pupils, aged 12-17, are set to be the first to enter the program designed by local road safety charity, The White Bike Foundation.

The Foundation will start delivering its pilot program to Boneo Primary School pupils on 5 December, with plans to roll road safety education to Primary and Secondary Schools across the Peninsula in 2019.
