THE City of Casey has been overwhelmed with the response to its inaugural Casey Business Awards.
More than 120 applications have been submitted for the nine categories from 83 local businesses.
The finalists will be announced at the Casey Business Forum on 4 August and Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said the response to the awards spoke volumes about the quality and diversity of businesses in the municipality.
“The Casey Business Awards are an opportunity to recognise excellence and support our thriving business community,” Cr Wreford said.
“We have nearly 15,000 businesses in Casey and these awards are a chance to put our local success stories up in lights and showcase the great work being done in our backyard.”
