Court orders clean sweep

A HAMPTON Park hoarder has been ordered to clean up his act.
The resident, whose property is on the corner of Willow Drive and Hallam Road, pleaded guilty at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court this month to charges relating to inhabiting an unsightly property, wilful damage and traffic offences.
The resident was released on an undertaking to be on good behaviour for two years and required to keep his property clean as directed by Casey council.
Casey’s manager of community safety Caroline Bell said council officers had worked tirelessly to prosecute the resident and that the council will take further action if necessary.
The magistrate warned the resident would be sentenced to jail if he reappeared before a court in the next two years for similar offences.
