Drink driver blows 0.211

In the early hours of Sunday morning members from Transit Safety Division were patrolling Hallam South Road where a vehicle was observed driving slowly, swerving across lanes and stopping short of the police vehicle at red lights.

The vehicle was intercepted outside the Hallam Railway Station where the 42 year old male driver from Cranbourne returned a positive preliminary breath test and an evidential breath test result of 0.211.

The vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the driver’s licence immediately suspended. The driver will be summonsed to court for the matter.
