Talent push is on for top band

CITY of Casey and Spectrum Entertainment’s 2010 Pushstart Battle of the Bands competition begins Friday 2 July.
Application forms are available from City of Casey customer service centres and youth information centres in Cranbourne and Hamp-ton Park, and from the council’s youth website at www.insideinfo.casey.vic.gov.au.
All applications must be received by close of business Monday 2 June.
Battle of the Bands offers local bands, with members between the ages of 15-21 years, the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete against other local emerging bands.
Two heats will be held – heat one on 2 July, at Cranbourne public hall, and heat two on 9 July, at Narre Community Learning Centre.
The winners from the heats will then compete in the final on 23 July, at Cranbourne public hall.
The winner of the Casey final will go on to compete in the regional final with the chance to go all the way to the state final to be held at Pushover 2011.
Winner of the Casey final will also receive a recording and rehearsal package, courtesy of Pony Music.
Check out the events calendar for Casey youth events at the website for dates, times and locations of the heats and final of the Casey Pushstart Battle of the Bands.
