MARKET fresh goodness came to Tooradin Primary School this week.
The students got to learn about and try some fresh fruit and vegetables when Carolyn and Teisha from the Melbourne Market Authority visited the school on Monday. The Marketfresh Schools Programs is designed to educate children about how fruit and vegetables grow, how they are harvested and then transported to stores.
It aims to encourage children’s confidence in trying new and healthy foods.
Staff at Tooradin Primary School said they wanted to thank the parents and staff who helped cut up and prepare the platters.
