TOORADIN Primary School students had a wild encounter last week.
Students from Prep to Grade 2 got a close look at some native Australian animals when Andrew Wagner from Wildlife Encounters visited the school on Friday.
The children were fascinated to look at and touch turtles, snakes, frogs, lizards, spiders as well as stuffed possums, koala and platypus.
Teachers said everyone enjoyed the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the animals.
