Man charged with cafe burglary

Police have arrested a 39-year-old Narre Warren man following a burglary at a new café in Cranbourne earlier this month.

It’s alleged an intruder broke into The Amazing Grace, located on South Gippsland Highway at about 3am on Thursday, 10 May.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV cameras within the cafe.

The Amazing Grace owner Paul White said a male burglar helped himself to top-shelf whiskey, cases of beer, cash and power tools.

The man has been charged with burglary and theft and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 31 August.
