Women celebrate

Ms Wyatt, who has her own business consultancy, has not completed any tertiary education, but says it has not stopped her from achieving her goals.
“All that I am I’ve picked up on the run,” she said.
The executive secretary for the Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce, Ms Wyatt was the guest speaker at an International Women’s Day celebration at Westpac Bank in Cranbourne last week.
She told the group of local businesswomen she had achieved the goals she set for herself and felt she had nothing to prove to anyone.
“I fought my fight for equality some years ago,” she said.
Locally, women could boast freedom of speech and choice, Ms Wyatt said.
“I think we don’t really realise how lucky we are in Australia,” she said.
Ms Wyatt said women had the ability to “weave a web of connectedness” with each other, and encouraged local women to make the most of business networking opportunities.
She said a woman was like a tea bag: “You never know how strong she is until you put her in hot water.”
