Stephanie Blicavs is a Commonwealth Games gold medallist, but to her students at Tulliallan Primary School, she’s Mrs Blicavs.

The Australian Opals Basketball player showed off her gold medal which she won on the Gold Coast in a visit to Tulliallan Primary School on Tuesday 1 May.

The 27-year-old champion began her teaching career at Tulliallan Primary School which opened to the Cranbourne North community in 2017.

Mrs Blicavs captained the Dandenong Rangers in the WNBL last year and won the MVP award.

School principal Kathy Sharp said the school was very proud of her.

“Mrs Blicavs has been a wonderful role model for our students showing dedication, team work and work ethic being a teacher as well as her commitment to basketball” she said.

Mrs Blicavs will continue to balance her commitment to basketball and casual teaching at Tulliallan this year.
