Three…ways to protect yourself from online crime

1. Victoria Police advised exercising caution when sharing information online. Delete suspicious emails, and don’t click on links or download anything sent from people you don’t know. Police say don’t allow the computer to save passwords.
2. Banks never ask for your banking details in emails – do not open, Victoria Police advises. Report and delete. Always log off when you are finish and regularly monitor your account transactions.
3. Victoria Police also say to ensure your internet or Wi-Fi connection is password protected and private. Allow automatic automatic updates on your software.
