Police allegedly seized large amounts of illegal drugs, cash and weapons during a series of raids across Melbourne’s south east – including Cranbourne East and Cranbourne West.
Southern Metro Divisional Response Unit, assisted by Frankston, Greater Dandenong and Casey Crime Investigation Units, executed six search warrants in Seaford, Hampton Park, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne West and Sky as part of Operation Bartel on Thursday, 1 February.
Operation Bartel was targeting a commercial drug trafficking syndicate operating in the area.
During the search police located a large quantity of pills, powders and cannabis.
A number of other items including cash, electrical goods and weapons were also seized.
Among those arrested and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of Ecstasy were a 41 year-old male from Hampton Park; a 26-year old female from Cranbourne East; an 18-year-old male from Cranbourne West, and a 23-year-old female from Skye.
They were all remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ today (Friday, 2 February).
A 22-year-old female from Skye was also charged with trafficking Ecstasy and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 6 April.
A 20-year-old male from Cranbourne West was arrested regarding weapons offences and cautioned by police.
And 22-year-old male from Seaford was arrested regarding drug offences and also cautioned by police.
