Hard rubbish collections on

HARD rubbish and green waste collections will begin in January and continue for six weeks.
Residents will have the opportunity to get rid of any unwanted hard waste, white goods, furniture and bundles of green waste for kerbside collection.
The collection service will begin on 11 January and continue for six weeks. Residents will receive a brochure about two weeks before the collection date for the specific area, which will outline the types of waste that can be collected. Materials should be stacked in three piles, one of general hard waste, one for green waste and one for steel and metal items.
Casey council reminded residents a free drop-off facility was located at Casey’s Transfer and Recycling Centre at Cemetery Road in Cranbourne to dispose of unwanted household materials such as paint, motor oil, fluorescent light tubes and globes and all types of batteries. It is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm and from 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
