MANY green thumbs make light work at Lynbrook Kindergarten.
Children at the kindergarten have been getting their hands dirty in an interactive garden that was built with the help of a $700 grant from Landcare and Coles. It is about three-quarters complete.
Parent and committee member Jodie Sankey said the children have loved helping out in the garden, which included native Australian plants such an acacias and westringias.
“It’s really easy to look after and the children are having a great time,” she said.
Water is used from a tank that was already installed on the premises.
“There are about 100 children at the kindergarten and they all have a go and get their gumboots out so they are having quite a good time.”
