Cranbourne Little Athletics and Cranbourne Kings Indoor Cricket club will be able to compete against the best, thanks to a $750 State Government grant.
The athletic group was one of the many successful applicants from over 45 different sports to share in $750 from the latest round of the Athlete Pathway Travel Grants Program.
The funding for Cranbourne Little Athletics and Danielle Montague of Cranbourne Kings will help with travel costs to travel to regional and state relays, and attend the Indoor Cricket World Cup.
Member for Cranbourne Jude Perera said the funding boost would support athletes, coaches, teams and officials to attend important regional, state-wide, national and international training camps or competitions.
“We here in Cranbourne are proud of our local sports champions – and we back our clubs in to become the best they can be.”
“The cost of travel and a place to stay can often rob young athletes from playing the sport they love,” he said.
