A year off the roads

A St Kilda East man won’t be in the driver’s seat for a while after he was caught allegedly drink driving at more than four times the legal limit in Narre Warren on Friday 29 September.
Police intercepted the 30 year old after he was observed driving erratically in a shopping centre car park, about 3.30am.
The man, who had a zero alcohol condition on his licence, tested positive to a preliminary breath test and was taken back to the station for an evidentiary test, where he blew an alleged blood alcohol concentration reading of 0.211.
His licence was suspended immediately for 12 months and his car impounded.
He will face the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
The intercept formed part of Operation Scoreboard over the Grand Final long weekend, a state-wide focus on road user behaviour.
