Council’s plans go digital

The City of Casey’s 2017 to 2021 Council Plan has been presented in a digital format for the first time.
The Council Plan details how the City of Casey will work towards key projects to improve the liveability of the municipality.
The council is aiming to promote ongoing feedback on the plan with its new digital platform.
City of Casey Mayor Sam Aziz said the plan has been informed through council run community engagement projects such as the Casey Next Survey and the Casey People’s Panel.
“Our Council Plan for the next four years is driven by the expectations and the needs of our residents,” he said.
“The 54 Casey People’s Panel members helped identify these priorities, and will be part of the delivery of a number of key objectives to put the City of Casey ahead of the rest.”
“As the biggest and one of the fastest growing municipalities in the state, we want to ensure that we are continually catering to the needs of our rapidly expanding community,” he said.
Over the next six months the council aims to incorporate access to council documents, build its annual Action Plan, and report on project progress through the online platform.
