$8000 theft from construction site

POLICE are investigating the theft of an $8000 power tool from a construction site in Cranbourne South.
It is believed the burglary at the Browns Road property occurred some time between noon and 1.15pm on Saturday, 12 November.
Police said the thieves broke into a shipping container used to store tools and stole a Topcon laser level.

TWO teenagers smashed the door of a passing train with rocks in Cranbourne last week.
The boys, who police said were about 14, were seen on the tracks throwing rocks at the train, which was heading toward Merinda Park from Cranbourne, at 4.45pm on Friday, 18 November.
Police said the rocks smashed the glass doors leaving a repair bill of about $500.
One of the boys was wearing a white shirt and the other a black singlet.

A THIEF made off from a Hampton Park property smelling like roses last week after making off with six bushes.
The theft occurred some time between 8.30pm on Sunday, 13 November and 5am on Monday, 14 November.
Six of the one metre tall rose bushes were taken, leaving the owner of the Hallam Road home with a bunch of empty holes along his boundary fence.

MORE than $1000 worth of goods was stolen during a burglary at a Hampton Park home last week.
It is believed the back door of the Mark Court home was kicked down some time between 1pm and 5pm on Friday, 18 November before a quantity of jewellery, a mobile phone and camera were taken.
A witness reported seeing a man hanging around at the front of the house about the time of the raid.
The man is described as about 22, Caucasian, 187cm, of slim build, short dark hair with blond tips and freckles.

TWO teenagers have been charged with armed robbery after stealing a laptop computer and cash from a Cranbourne man last week.
Police said the 18-year-old was on the Dandenong to Cranbourne train at 8.30pm on Wednesday, 16 November when he was approached by two boys demanding money.
A fellow passenger tried to intervene before it is alleged one of the boys threatened him and the man with a knife.
The man handed over his computer and money and the pair fled on foot at Cranbourne Station.
They were apprehended in Cranbourne a short time later by Endeavour Hills police who had been called in to help in the search.
An 18-year-old Noble Park man has been charged and remanded in custody while a 16-year-old Pakenham youth was charged and released on bail.

POLICE are continuing to target petrol thieves following two drive-offs in the Cranbourne area last week.
The first theft occurred at BP service station on South Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne North, at 1am on Monday, 15 November.
Police said three men filled a white ‘80s Toyota Celica with $54 of unleaded petrol before driving off.
It is believed the trio, described as of Indian appearance, waved at the console operator as they left.
The car was fitted with stolen registration plates RIH 898.
The second incident occurred at the United Cranbourne service station on Cameron Street, Cranbourne, at 3am on Saturday, 19 November.
It is believed a young man filled his silver late ‘90s Commodore with $60 of unleaded petrol before driving away toward Narre Warren.
The car was fitted with stolen number plates OHF 253.
The man is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall and wearing blue jeans and top.
