Carnival a ‘raging’ success

ORGANISERS of the Hampton Park Primary School carnival have hailed the event a “raging” success.
Members of the public relations sub-committee said they were thrilled with the turnout to the fundraiser on Friday, 11 November.
Visitors perused more than 25 craft stalls, community displays and food stalls while enjoying live music and dance performances and face painting.
Kids and adults had a ball on rides including the cha-cha, giant slide, chair-o-plane and jumping castle.
More than $5400 was raised for the purchase of new educational equipment to be used for the 2006 school year, including new reading books, computer software, a video camera, new tables for the junior school and an enclosure for a school garden where students will learn about environmental conservation.
