A woman will lose her car after police allegedly detected her driving at 134km/h in an 80km/h zone on the South Gippsland Highway in Hampton Park.
Police intercepted the 50-year-old driver after detecting her extraordinary speed at about 3am on Saturday 10 June.
After returning a positive roadside breath test, she was taken to Narre Warren police station where she returned a BAC reading of .102.
The woman’s car will be surrendered to police at a later date.
The increased Highway Patrol presence has formed part of Operation Regal, which targets driver behaviour and road safety.
The operation ran from Friday 9 June at 12.01am, finishing on Monday 12 June at 11.59pm.
