Feline-friendly target met

The RSPCA’s Catpacity adoption drive has been a great success with the shelter in Pearcedale achieving the highest number of adoptions in Victoria.
Some 98 cats and kittens from the Pearcedale shelter found their forever homes during the adoption drive, which saw adoption fees slashed for four days.
Almost 500 felines were rehomed across the state between Thursday 6 April to Sunday 9 April.
“It went very well and indeed exceeded expectations,” an RSPCA spokesperson said.
“We were aiming to find forever homes for at least 400 felines across the state, and finished with 458 adoptions in four days.”
