A MAN was threatened with assault if he did not hand over cash in Cranbourne last month.
Police said the man was walking along Camms Road in Cranbourne about 1pm on 30 September when he was approached by a group of males in a four-wheel drive car.
One of the men, armed with a steel bar, got out of the car and demanded cash from the man and threatened to assault him with the weapon if he did not comply.
The victim handed over an amount of cash before the thief got back into the car and drove away, police said.
