DUFF Street residents have supported Casey council’s plans to install six small speed humps on their road.
Pending funding allocations, the council will install the traffic inhibitors on the Cranbourne street between Monahans Road and the South Gippsland Highway to alleviate its history of accidents.
Of the 62 people who responded to the survey about the small speed humps, 53 supported the proposal and nine objected.
Some reasons for objections said the speed humps were not high enough and that they would create more noise.
The project is estimated to cost $95,000 and will be considered in a future capital works program.
Speed humps are welcomed
