Three ‘R’s adds up to more fun

STUDENTS at Tooradin Primary School celebrated Numeracy and Literacy Week in style.
Buddy grades came together with online computer games, which allowed students to support each other’s learning and share in their successes together.
The children also invited their grandparents and special friends to come and share in their classroom learning. Each grade cooked treats to serve up for the Grandparents’ Morning Tea.
In the lead up to the morning tea, students were involved in reading and writing the necessary recipes and then measuring ingredients to make their special foods as part of Tooradin Primary School’s approach to hands-on learning.
The week wrapped up with the students and staff coming to school in their pyjamas, where they enjoyed sharing bedtime stories with their buddy grades.
