In the education grove

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A NEW early learning centre under construction will cater for young children in Clyde North.
The new centre in Heather Grove will be attached to the new Heather Grove Primary School and give children an opportunity for integrated learning.
The centre and primary school have been made possible through a partnership with the YMCA and the Victorian State Government.
In having the early learning centre and the primary school as a single educational unit, education providers can ensure a student’s transition from kinder to school is seamless.
YMCA Victorian CEO Peter Burns said the organisation prioritised the wellbeing of students while offering the best educational outcomes and facilities possible.
“It is our number one priority to always create a safe environment that exceeds expectations, so parents can rest assured their child is getting the best possible start,” he said.
“Our educational programs are based on international best practice and take a holistic approach to learning.
“Busy parents can feel comfortable knowing that their children are getting the opportunity to play outside every day and that we invest in high quality healthy food for the children in our programs.”
The new primary school and early learning centre at Heather Grove are scheduled to open in the 2017 school year.
