Assault at station

A CRANBOURNE man was left with broken teeth after an assault and attempted robbery in Fairfield Street, Cranbourne, last month.
Police said that just before 4pm on 12 August, a youth approached the victim who was walking home from the Cranbourne railway station.
The youth asked the victim for cash and items from his pockets. The man tried to walk away but the youth assaulted him. then ran from the scene.
Police said the victim’s front teeth were broken and his head and face were bruised.
Several people were present when the assault occurred and police are appealing for them to speak to police or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
