PROMINENT gardener Jane Edmanson entertained gardeners during an evening of wining, dining and entertainment at the Sandhurst Gardening Club last week.
Ms Edmanson, ABC and 3AW Gardening personality, provided advice on roses and answered questions about gardening at the Wine and Roses Dinner. Michael Warren, owner and wine maker of Yarra Valley Badgers Brook, also attended the event and spoke about the impact Black Saturday had on the Yarra Valley wine district. Badgers Brooks is a family-owned winery specialising in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz . The dinner was the first event organised by the newly formed Sandhurst Gardening Club, general manager of Sandhurst Club Bill Laird said.
It was sponsored by South East Water, which is responsible for supplying Sandhurst with recycled water to ensure a green environment.
The Gardening Club also expanded on its plans for the future including organising gardening trips and special potting days for children on the estate.
