Kids’ skills at play

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

THE City of Casey has hosted a ‘Spring into Play’ day as part of International Children’s Week at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick.
The free family fun day out saw children of all ages and their parents join in the activities of offer.
Children were encouraged to dress up in their favorite clothes/costumes and everyone celebrated the value children add to a community.
There were activities on offer for everyone including face painting, a sausage sizzle, art and craft activities, music and a chance to play and explore the recently-redeveloped playground.
International Children’s Week runs from 22 to 30 October each year and is a national program recognising the talents, skills, achievements and rights of young people, supported by all levels of government.
